This should be the first thing you do! Before the reception or other plans are made. You should call for an appointment at LEAST 6 months before you plan on your ceremony. There is an interview and some paperwork to fill out before a date can be set.
See the section on documents you may need, you probably don't need them before you meet with your consulting Priest or Deacon, but be Prepared! you will need to get some documents
You should be meeting with your consulting Priest or Deacon a few weeks before the actual ceremony....take a look at the readings you may want
You will get a music form at your initial meeting, take a look at it.
Call the rectory to schedule a rehearsal date. The rehearsal is not a time to socialize, it should take only a half an hour at the Church. You will discuss how to process in, and out, and where to stand. The marraige license will be signed by your witnesses. The rehearsal dinner, is on you! That's the time to socialize.
Speak to your consulting Priest or Deacon
